Lennar – NextGen
This is my team’s Telly Award winning video. My favorite part is how the video starts. There is something so vulnerable and inviting about two people singing on the porch and it makes for a warm, inviting, and touching piece.
Woodridge Forest
We won the GHBA Prism Award for this video. It was built around the theme of ‘secrets.’ The video really gives the viewer the feeling of hearing a good deal before everybody else while also showcasing the lifestyle available in the community.
David Weekley – Grand Cay Harbour
We wanted the viewer to really experience the water lifestyle available at this community and get a true sense of the culture of the neighborhood. The odd color in this video accentuates that. It is used enhance the coastal feel of the piece. We applied a sun bleached color grade to the whole segment, thus the video has a yellowish tint with faded blacks and blown out highlights.
Rise Communities – Meridiana
This was a fun video to cut. At the time it was a huge departure from our normal TV segment. My superiors were surprised, but pleased, and it gave us a taste of what our rebrand would look like.
I have completed over 400 videos very similar to the one you see below.
Typically, our videographer would go to each home site and interview a builder representative, realtor, and/or homeowner and shoot the home and the surrounding community. He would then bring the footage back to me and I would select the best sound bites, select music from our library, edit the segment together from the clips given, color correct, add graphics, and then send it to the client for approval.
Below is just one of the rough cuts I did for Amazing Water Homes (HGTV). This video is not color corrected, audio sweetened, nor does it have graphics at this point, but I feel like it is a good showcase for my editing skills.
